WEDDING PAINTING?
A live wedding painting experience involves hiring an artist to attend the wedding, set up in the venue space, and capture a special moment of the ceremony or reception on a canvas. This is done live in front of the guests for all to enjoy. The painting typically includes the bride and groom, the venue, decorations, and/or guests. The subject of the painting is decided prior to the event.

RUTH ONEYA
Ruth is a passionate creative from Nairobi, Kenya currently residing in Birmingham, Alabama. Her journey as an artist began at the age of 15 when she found solace in art, a perfect escape from boredom.
Self-taught and investing the time to learn the art of business, she honed her skills and started Ruth Oneya Illustrations while in college in 2016. Since then she has been focusing on creating beautiful commission-based art pieces at her home studio and capturing memorable moments live at weddings. She is also a well established graphic designer which allows her to create wedding invitations and much more.
Aside from art, Ruth enjoys all kinds of foods, photography, traveling, and being a self-proclaimed plant lady.
Ruth views your wedding day uniquely. Her goal is to capture a moment in its authentic form while adding details that would be impossible to capture through a lens. As she places each stroke on the canvas, she looks for light, movement, smiles, and bliss.
Even though entertaining your guests is a central part of the job, most importantly, Ruth takes joy in celebrating your love with all your family and friends. And you can rest assured that each piece is made with nothing but love (and some acrylics!).

Do you know how you look in a moment filled with absolute joy and love? That is what Ruth hopes to capture in each piece. Using her impressionistic style with a touch of realism, her paintings are vibrant, bright, and have a saturated color palette. During the wedding, she paints quickly to set the scene on the canvas while entertaining your guest. Afterward, she takes the painting back to her studio to add details, color correction, and finishing touches. Every piece is painted with high-quality acrylics on gallery-wrapped canvases designed to be displayed without frames for a sleek contemporary finish.
